United Electric stepped up and made this the first year that the kids actually did offshore fishing aboard the Flying Fish II. If you are unfamiliar with the tournament, it is a great community event with fun and prizes and it helps support the Boys and Girls Club of Sarasota County. David Parrish from United Electric serves Manatee County by helping stock some of the off-site food banks. Here are some pictures of a food pick-up that he delivers to the Church of the Cross food bank on Thursdays. This is one of many ways the staff at United Electric gives back.
United Electric is proud to support Sarasota Ski-A-Rees! We recently donated our services to upgrade the electrical service at their beautiful waterfront location in Sarasota Florida. Ski-A-Rees has been a Sarasota tradition since 1957 and is as strong today as ever. They offer great membership opportunities as well as many shows that are offer free admission to the public.

Sarasota Medical Pregnancy Center is a non-profit 501©3 faith-based organization that provides hope and help to young women and families facing an unplanned pregnancy. When a young woman discovers she is pregnant, she usually feels scared, overwhelmed, worried and alone. Many times she feels that abortion is her only option.
Sarasota Medical Pregnancy Center provides a woman with a safe place to learn about truthful options for her pregnancy. She is offered a free pregnancy test and ultrasound. When the mother sees her baby come alive on the ultrasound screen, she is able to visually confirm the life in her womb, which elevates the statistics of her choosing to carry her child to term.
Sarasota Medical Pregnancy Center clients are treated with unconditional love, acceptance and genuine concern for their future. We offer education, material assistance, and community referrals to support the ongoing needs of our parents.
Here at United Electric we strive to make a difference in our community and partnering with great organizations like SMPC is one of the many ways we can accomplish this goal!
United Electric wants to congratulate Dan Gibbs, Adam Earl and Carson Westfall for a great race today as the Siesta Key Triathlon. They did a fine job and represented United Electric well! It was an honor to sponsor such a great event. We had a fantastic location right next to the D.J. booth and even got to park our service van right by the booth. We gave away over 800 bottles of water to both athletes and spectators. The best part was that the bottled water had our own private label attached! Setting up our tent at 4:00am was no fun but the payoff was well worth it. United Electric’s President, David Parrish, spent most of the day at the event handing out water to the over 800 athletes and their friends and families. We look forward to being a part of this event next year and we hope to see you there!
United Electric was honored to be a part of the Manatee/Greater Sarasota/Venice Tri-Chamber event on Wednesday, November 10th, 2010.
This event was about more than just a night out. It was a chance to make new connections that can help grow our community through local business. When we strive to keep our business dealings local we are not only helping the local economy, but we are helping the environment. Using a contractor from your area reduces our impact on the environment by simply not driving as far.
Thanks to Webtivity and others the event had a fun digital scavenger hunt! Using the smart phone camera feature and a free app you were able to scan a 2-D bar code and participate in the scavenger hunt. Here at United Electric we are also taking advantage of this technology. You can look for our Microsoft TAG’s in our email signatures, print material, signage, and on our company fleet.
